Earlier this week, on behalf of the FA of Wales, I went to Glasgow to again observe the first Scottish FA UEFA A Licence for Goalkeeper Coaches. The course Directed by Rangers & Scotland GK Coach Jim Stewart was in the 3rd Block of 2 days delivery, following its commencement In September 2014.
Attended by a many of the Scottish professional club GK Coaches including Jim Leighton, Gordon Marshall & Stevie Woods the course which is one of the first being piloted in Europe is to support and enhance the goalkeeper coach with one main focus being that of the continued development of relationships between the GK Coach and Head Coach.
It is planned following permission from UEFA’s Technical Committee to host and run a course in Wales commencing in September this year. So over the next number of months i shall be working hard to develop the course which is a minimum of 105 hours (12 days of tutoring) together with additional tasks & assignments.
