Technical/Functional Practice – The Goalkeeper Short Passing & Support
The Goalkeeper Passes & Receives to the 3 players/servers in any pattern dependent on the supporting angle the Goalkeeper makes and the pass received and the following angle of support made by the outfield players.
Distances can vary depending on the practice needs. The Goalkeeper can be as ked to try to play quickly us ing 1 or 2 touches. The illustration shows potential positions of two central defenders and a supporting midfielder.
Why not try to use Two Goalkeepers and Two Balls? It will Improve decision making and they’ll have to find the spare player under greater pressure.
